Mona's two spinster aunts puzzle Mike by snubbing him when they come to visit Mona. Mike's bewilderment grows when he offers the aunts a box of candy, and they stomp on it.

Mona explodes when Mike tells her that the general has booked another dancer for the annual frolics. The general plans to give Mona an award at the frolics in appreciation for her previous entertainment for the troops.

Mike is leaving the Air Force after his enlistment ends, rejecting re-enlistment to pursue a higher-paying civilian job so he can better support Mona. Both Mona and General Crone are unhappy with his decision to leave the Air Force.

General Crone's nephew pays him a visit, and when it's apparent that he out-Beatles The Beatles, the general begs the McCluskeys to keep him out of sight while his superior visits the base.

Mike smacks a pie at a nightclub comic who insults Mona. Mike hits nightclub comic with a pie, winds up in jail. He refuses to let Mona pay his bill because the comic said Mike married her for her money.

For their third anniversary, Mike gifts Mona a $350 diamond ring. A props-man mistakenly takes it from the studio, causing chaos.
