Rowan drills up a lot more than he bargained for. Anthony and Jodie Mifsud desperately try to join tunnels while Old Timers Ray and Paul realise too late, an old mine hides a deadly secret.

The Mifsuds hope their two sons will make the difference, but it might cost them a massive sapphire. Ray and Paul come badly unstuck with a 40 tonne drill. Todd and Brianna drop a $8000 sapphire.

Storms hit the Gemfields and Max fights his way to the lease, but did the floods destroy his dam? Todd and Brianna face destruction at the claim and Rowan Richardson must act fast to save the mine.

With water in the dam, Max and Glenn finally get a break but their machines break down; Todd and Brianna face a phobia and an unsafe situation; the Mifsuds' season might end with a family feud.
