UNREAL is a general shop in Uminazuki, filled with beautiful antiques and wrapped in a mysterious atmosphere. The owner, Yagio (Someya Toshiyuki), often orders delivery from the nearby cafe 「海桐-TOBIRA-」 but he is constantly looked after by the reliable high school student Munechika (Konishi Eito) who works there. One day, while Yagio is being looked after by Munechika as usual, a customer named Miura (Ishiguro Hideo) visits UNREAL. He says he's looking for a gift for a client, but in fact he's been having trouble with a woman who seems to be stalking him. Later, Miura becomes interested in an antique item in the store called the "Scales of Gluttony"...

"UNREAL" is a shop filled with beautiful and mysterious miscellaneous goods. While the owner, Yagio (Someya Toshiyuki), is getting a massage from Munechika (Konishi Eito), a reliable high school student who works at the nearby cafe "海桐-TOBIRA-"( Kaido Tobira)'s previous owner, Kurosawa Youji (Hosogai Kei), appears. For some reason, Yagio seems to dislike the mysterious man, who knows Munechika's name. As Munechika is about to leave the store, he bumps into Akasaka (Kato Daiki), a city council member. While helping Munechika, who is harassed by Akasaka, Yagio guides Akasaka into the store. Wanting to improve his sloppy appearance for the upcoming Uminazuki City Summer Festival, Akasaka's eyes are drawn to "Mrs. Hayes's Hand." He buys the tie pin, which is said to make its owner appear more attractive and grant wishes equal to the number of fingers on the pin, and his wishes begin to come true...

Munechika (Konishi Eito) is returning home with his friend Mizukado (Shin Masatoshi),carrying a lot of souvenirs from the summer camp for Yagio (Someya Toshiyuki), the owner of UNREAL. His friend invites hil to Uminazuki Summer Festival, but Munechi is concerned about Yagio's strong opposition for opening a stand of the cafe there. Later, when Munechika visits UNREAL to give him the souvenirs, he finds Yagio collapsed. Ignoring Munechika's concern, Yagio wakes up and acts coldly, causing Munechika to leave the shop angrily. Just as he is leaving, Negishi (Motojima Junmasa), an University student and camera enthusiast, visits the shop. He is an avid fan of Akabane Rinto Kurosaki Reina), an idol from Uminazuki City, and he picked up a foutain pen called "Flauros's Fang". It was explained that "Any wish you write will come true", so he tried it by writing "Your photo will go viral", and suddenly the post on social media started getting a lot of responses.

Akabane Rinto (Kurosaki Reina), an idol from Uminazuki city, visits "UNREAL". When she sees the shop owner Yagio (Toshiyuki Someya), she says that he looks like his classmate Otoya. When Munechika (Konishi Eito) hears that name, he begins to wonder if he is forgetting something important. Yagio hears about Rinto's troubles at work, and is convinced that she is the one who can correct Munechika's fate, and reccomends the "Mask of Oddfellows". Meanwhile Negishi (Motojima Junmasa) becomes enraged after his social going viral and the cancelation of his contract with Rinto, so he destroys the Flauros's Fang. Meanwhile, Kurosawa (Hosogai Kei) is visiting the cafe "Kaido -Tobira" Munechika tells him that someone is Calling Yagio "Otoya" has come and tries to find out about Yagio but…

Muneya “Munechika” (Eito Konishi) recalls a long‑forgotten memory. After learning from Kurosawa (Kei Hosogai) that Yagio (Toshiyuki Someya) has been reliving the same moment again and again in an attempt to change his fate, Muneya begins to speak of his first encounter with Yagio. In truth, Yagio’s real name is Otoya Yanagiba. They first met when Muneya saved him from attempting suicide at sea. As Otoya grew closer to Muneya, he confessed that he had always felt he was “not cut out for life.” He revealed that Muneya’s act of saving him had given him hope, and that Muneya was the one truly meant for him. Hearing this, Muneya responded, “You can think of me as your soulmate,” and made Otoya promise never to attempt suicide again. Soon after, the day of the Uminazuki summer festival arrives—a day destined to decide the fate of the two…

On the day of the Uminazuki Summer Festival, Munechika arrives at UNREAL, where Yagio desperately tries to stop him. Having regained his memories and uncovered the truth, Munechika declares that he no longer wants Yagio to make endless sacrifices on his behalf and that he accepts his destiny. Yagio, however, pleads with him not to take away his only wish—a future in which Munechika lives. As their opposing views of what is “righteous” run parallel, Munechika tells him that he has already waited twenty years, and now they must wait just a little longer, before leaving UNREAL. Witnessing the exchange, Saketoba (Ryo Sekoguchi) offers Yagio a suggestion. Meanwhile, Munechika arrives at the festival grounds. As the fateful moment of his death approaches, he rushes toward the handshake venue with Rinto—only to catch sight of Negishi along the way…
