There are two groups, both consisting of five teams. Once the first group of five teams has served their dishes, and received a score, the next group of five teams then does the same. In the end, the team with the highest score from either group, will compete in the finals.

Feildel will be returning, joined by none other than British cooking royalty, Nigella Lawson. Former MasterChef Australia judge Matt Preston has also been announced as another judge. Colin Fassnidge, who has been a guest judge on MKR over the years, will be returning to do just that. Plus, Curtis Stone is also joining as a guest judge.
