A potential adoption for a dog rescued during Hurricane Katrina sends Tia and her son, Kanani, on a road trip to Louisiana. Once there, they rescue an abandoned dog during a fierce thunderstorm.

A plea for help compels Tia to deal with an out-of-control pit bull, leaving the owner grappling with a heart wrenching life or death decision. And, with no kennel space left at Villalobos, parolee Cameron persuades Tia to join him on a wild rescue.

Tia and Jake are determined to find one of Villalobos' most unique-looking pit bulls a new home but when a promising adopter backs out, they are forced to step up their efforts. Parolee Billy is causing tension at Villalobos and Tia must intervene.

Tia sends her daughters on a mission of mercy to New Orleans where a friend has rescued a pit bull that was tied to a metal post for several days. While there, the girls are outraged by the frustrations faced by both human and canine residents.

Tania and Mariah work on a fundraiser after Villalobos is invaded by bees.
