1 - Ravana marries Mandodari
Air Date: July 8, 2013
Kartikay gets married to Devsena in Brahmalok. Ravana visits Maydanav's palace where Mandodari catches his attention. He tells Maydanav that he wants to marry her. Ravana and Mandodari get married. Ravana soon learns why Mandodari agreed to marry him.
2 - Vishnu stops Mahadev
Air Date: July 9, 2013
Ravana's attraction for Vedvati worries Devi Lakshmi. He asks Vedvati to become his devotee. She refuses and decides to sacrifice her life. Mahadev requests her not to, but she goes ahead. Mahadev decides to kill Ravana but Lord Vishnu stops him and tells him how his death will come about.
3 - Mahadev blesses Kaushalya
Air Date: July 10, 2013
Mahadev informs Parvati, Ganesha and Kartikay about their future in human avatar. Pitamah tells Ravana that Kaushalya will give birth to the person who will kill him. Mahadev blesses Kaushalya to give birth to Lord Vishnu's next avatar.
4 - Ganesha saves Kaushalya
Air Date: July 11, 2013
Disguised as a flower-seller, Ravana attacks Kaushalya. He throws her off a hill, but Ganesha saves her. Mahadev assures Dasharatha that Kaushalya will conceive Lord Vishnu's next avatar.
5 - Mahadev meets Janaka
Air Date: July 12, 2013
Ravana is unaware that Kaushalya is still alive. Pitamah also hides the truth from him. Mahadev, disguised as a sage, meets Janaka. He turns emotional on recognising Mahadev and Parvati. Mahadev informs him that he will father a girl. Will Janaka's daughter be Devi Lakshmi's human avatar?
6 - The birth of Lord Rama
Air Date: July 15, 2013
Lord Rama, a Vishnu avatar, is born as Kaushalya and Dasharatha's son. Mahadev prepares the new-born's Janampatrika. Kaikeyi gives birth to a son and Sumitra gives birth to twins. An elated Dasharatha seeks blessings from Mahadev and Parvati.
7 - Ravana attacks Yamraj
Air Date: July 16, 2013
Rishi Vashistha names Dasharatha's sons, Rama, Lakshmana, Bharatha and Shatrughna. Meanwhile, Ravana's plans of capturing the nine planets in worry Mahadev. Ravana attacks Yamraj and defeats him. Mahadev informs the gods that he will be a true devotee of Lord Rama in another reincarnation.
8 - Dasharatha is cursed
Air Date: July 17, 2013
Mahadev foresees Dasharatha's misfortune and warns him. Dasharatha kills Shravan Kumar. On learning about Shravan Kumar's death, his father curses Dasharatha that the king, too, will cry for lost sons.
9 - Janaka finds a baby
Air Date: July 18, 2013
Dasharatha ignores Rishi Vashistha's advice to send his sons to Gurukul and asks him to tutor them in the palace. Meanwhile, Rahu and Ketu surrender to Ravana, but Surya Dev, Chandra Dev and Mangal Dev refuse and are taken captive. Janaka finds a baby girl while ploughing the earth. Mahadev names her Sita.
10 - Mahadev grants Mandodari a wish
Air Date: July 19, 2013
Mahadev hands over a bow to Janaka and informs him that only Sita will be capable of lifting it. Scared of curse, Dasharatha refuses to send his children away. While Mandodari tries to stop Ravana from capturing the nine planets, she is also granted a wish by Mahadev.
11 - Shani Dev occupies Lanka
Air Date: July 22, 2013
Ravana keeps Shani Dev captive for his own benefit. Shukracharya and Brihaspati destroy Ravana's Mayavi vyuh and release the planets. Shani Dev refuses to leave Lanka until he destroys Ravana.
12 - Vishwamitra becomes Rama's guru
Air Date: July 23, 2013
Taraka destroys Vishwamitra's yagna. Mahadev himself teaches Lord Rama archery. He also asks Vishwamitra to become guru to Lord Rama and Lakshman. Ravana is furious, seeing his Mayavi vyuh destroyed.
13 - Lord Rama leaves with Vishwamitra
Air Date: July 24, 2013
Dasharatha sends Lord Rama and Lakshmana to Gurukul. Dasharatha, Kaushalya, Kaikeyi and Sumitra bless the two princes as they leave. On the way, Vishwamitra narrates the story of Samudra Manthan and explains why Mahadev is called Neelkanth.
14 - Lord Rama worships Parvati
Air Date: July 25, 2013
Taraka explains to Mahadev why she spoilt Vishwamitra's yagna. She suspects the Rishi is conspiring against her. Meanwhile, Lord Rama and Lakshman worship Parvati at Parvati Van. In Janak's palace, Sita and her sisters, Mandavi, Urmila and Shrutakeerti are trained in Sanskriti.
15 - Rama disobeys his guru
Air Date: July 26, 2013
Vishwamitra teaches Rama and Lakshman various battle skills. Taraka learns of the same and increases her guards. As Rama and Lakshman get better at archery, Vishwamitra asks them to target a bird. But Rama refuses and upsets his teacher.
16 - Taraka attacks Vishwamitra
Air Date: July 28, 2013
Vishwamitra tells Lord Rama him about Taraka and about the purpose of his training. But when Rama hesitates to kill a woman, Mahadev clears his confusion. Parvati, meanwhile, makes Lord Rama understand Karma. As Vishwamitra starts his yagna, Taraka and her demons attack him.
17 - Rama kills Taraka
Air Date: July 29, 2013
Lord Rama kills Taraka. But before she dies, he tells her why he had to take her life. Mahadev praises Lord Rama for maintaining Vishwamitra's dignity and blesses him. Lord Brahma gifts the Brahmastra to Lord Rama.
