While Ponch is busy trying to recruit celebrities for the CHP roller disco, Jon and Getraer deal with a teenage thief. Later, Ponch and Jon chase after two thieves who get away on roller-skates.

Ponch and Jon deal with a rock star and help organizing a roller-skating fund-raiser. Ponch and Jon continue chasing the roller-skating thieves.

Officers mediate a feud between teenagers . Ponch and Jon intervene when some irate surfers chase the Valley kids who bumped their car.

High Octane

A couple of gasoline smugglers steal gasoline from different stations using a gas truck they suck the gas in instead of delivering it. The C.H.P gang play roller hockey.

After a fellow officer is killed, Ponch and Jon investigate a crooked stuntman who has been causing accidents as part of an insurance scam.

Counterfeit

Ponch finds out about a counterfeiting scam run by a bogus preacher when he gets hold of some fake money.

The Return of the Supercycle

7 - The Return of the Supercycle

Air Date: October 27, 1979

Ponch and Jon encounter a hotshot cyclist who evades them after stealing. Ponch takes a bad fall while trying to avoid a semi and is hospitalized; a supercycle event has come to town, and the officers attempt to figure out who the culprit is. Devising a scheme for an interview with one of the cyclists, the CHiPs catch the culprit, an affiliate of the star of the supercycle show, by using a special-issue bike that can keep up with the cyclist.

While Ponch is in hospital, Jon and a new partner investigate several thefts involving city vehicles.

Ponch and Jon become involved in the case of a young girl whose parents are nowhere to be found. Candi, a racing driver, takes her to the racetrack - with dramatic consequences.

Candi tries to help the young girl who is unhappy at her foster home. Ponch and Jon move in on the crooks that they have been watching.

A hard-nosed lieutenant tries to shape up CHP Central. Lieutenant ""Apple"" Bates has a hard time before he learns that he has the best troup all over L.A.

Jon and Ponch go undercover at a demolition derby, on the trail of stolen cars. Ponch's beloved Firebird is changing into a racing car .... but without Ponch's will.

Second Chance

Jon and Ponch try to apprehend a jewel thief who has hit several condos in Marina Del Ray. Who can know that a few very pretty ladies are the thieves?

Wheeling

A handicapped driver causes headaches for Jon and Ponch when he is mistaken for a hit-and-run driver. Jon and Ponch learn to respect handicapped people.

Christmas Watch

15 - Christmas Watch

A bell is stolen from a church. The Sunday school children are very sad about this. Ponch gets a visit from his mother. The officers have much to laugh at as a few drunken guys want to buy gas at the Central.

Jailbirds

Air Date: January 12, 1980

Jon and Ponch are found guilty of contempt when they refuse to name an informant in court. Of course they meet criminals who were arrested by the officers.

E.M.T.

17 - E.M.T.

Air Date: January 19, 1980

The instructor for an EMT course recognizes pupils Jon and Ponch as the officers who gave him a ticket the day before.

Kidnap

Air Date: January 26, 1980

Two criminals escape from custody and steal a Rolls-Royce - complete with two children in the back seat . They have to learn that the children are very smart and clever. A "Lacho Caracha" helps Ponch finding the kids.

Off Road

Jon and Ponch enter a desert off-road race, unaware that a pair of thugs are using the race as a cover to retrieve a cache of stolen coins.

When a tow truck driver is suspected of stealing cars to make ends meet, Jon and Ponch enlist the help of the driver's daughter .

Jon and Ponch attempt to trap a gang of car strippers with drug smuggling connections.

Thrill Show

Air Date: February 23, 1980

Robbers posing as tourists ride on tourist buses and while the bus is mobile they draw weapons and demand anything of value from all the tourists. Bonnie considers leaving the force to join a stunt show which is in town, while Jon and Ponch are on the trail of the gang who are robbing buses .

Jon and Ponch try to find a mysterious female doctor who is treating accident victims then disappearing . They learn that the lady is the wife of a doctor and helping only the poor. What shall they do? They have to arrest her first but the lady finds a way to be a doctor again.

Officer Bonnie Clark believes she was forced off the road by a truck after crashing on a dangerous mountain road.
