1 - Float Like a Butterfly
Air Date: December 27, 2021
To kick off this special season featuring the youngest cast ever, hosts and judges Valerie Bertinelli and Duff Goldman ask the 12 kid bakers to pay homage to the brilliant transformation of the butterfly by making colorful carved butterfly cakes. After judging, one baker leaves the competition.
2 - Everything but the Kitchen Sink
Air Date: January 3, 2022
The Kids Baking Championship snack mine is the inspiration for this week's challenge as hosts and judges Valerie Bertinelli and Duff Goldman ask the 11 young bakers to use three snack items -- potato chips, pretzels and chocolate candies -- in one delicious kitchen sink dessert. In the end, one baker goes home.
3 - Dessert Rivals
Air Date: January 10, 2022
In the grand tradition of dessert rivalries, hosts and judges Valerie Bertinelli and Duff Goldman divide the 10 kid bakers into two teams for a good old-fashioned chocolate vs. peanut butter throwdown. To up the stakes, the winner of the challenge will earn immunity from elimination for their entire team! After the dust settles, one baker from the losing team is eliminated.
4 - Cereal Psych Out
Air Date: January 17, 2022
Hosts and judges Valerie Bertinelli and Duff Goldman ask the nine kid bakers to turn miniature cookies and chocolate-covered dried fruit or nuts into cookie cereal. Glass of milk, anyone? One baker is eliminated.
5 - All Puffed Up
Air Date: January 24, 2022
Hosts and judges Valerie Bertinelli and Duff Goldman ask the eight kid bakers to work in teams of two to build and decorate tasty and beautiful team puff designs made of two different colored and flavored cream puffs. In the end, one baker leaves the competition
6 - BBQ LOL OMG
Air Date: January 31, 2022
It's the beloved imposters challenge, and hosts and judges Valerie Bertinelli and Duff Goldman ask the young bakers to create grilled dessert imposters with side dishes like ribs and mac 'n' cheese or hot dogs and baked beans. The least successful baker goes home.
7 - Earn Your Stripes
Air Date: February 7, 2022
For this challenge, hosts and judges Valerie Bertinelli and Duff Goldman ask the six remaining kid bakers to take a walk on the wild side and make zebra cakes with striking interior stripes. In the end, one baker is eliminated.
8 - Cosmic Delights
Air Date: February 14, 2022
For this challenge, hosts and judges Valerie Bertinelli and Duff Goldman ask the bakers to combine a lot of small parts to create one big whole by making cosmic cupcake pull-aparts decorated to look like the sun, a rocket, Saturn, a comet or the moon. At the end of the mission, one baker is eliminated.
9 - Shake, Shake, Shake
Air Date: February 21, 2022
In one of the most difficult challenges of the season, hosts and judges Valerie Bertinelli and Duff Goldman embrace the "loaded" foods trend by asking the remaining kid bakers to make loaded.
10 - Cityscakes
Air Date: February 28, 2022
In this over-the-top finale, hosts and judges Valerie Bertinelli and Duff Goldman ask the youngest final three bakers in the history of the show to make a championship-worthy, two-tiered.
